Liverpool Fans Express Anger Over Arsenal's £52m Move For Lacazette

Liverpool fans wanted to see the Reds challenge for Arsenal target.

According to The Telegraph, Alexandre Lacazette is on the verge of sealing a move from Lyon to Arsenal.

Lacazette is set to fly in to discuss terms and undergo a medical, with Lyon and Arsenal close to agreeing a price for the French international, which The Telegraph report will be £52 million.

Lacazette has been prolific for Lyon for the past few years, and netted 28 goals in 30 Ligue 1 starts last season, and 37 goals in all competitions.

The Gunners do not have Champions League football to offer Lacazette this season after a fifth placed finish last season.

They were pipped to fourth by Liverpool, who could do with a striker like Lacazette themselves.

The Express reported in early June that Liverpool had opened talks over signing Lacazette, but the Frenchman appears to have slipped their grasp for their Premier League rivals.

Liverpool's top scorer last season was Philippe Coutinho with 14 goals.

They can get by without a prolific 30 goal a season man, but can they really reach the next level and compete for the title?

The Mirror report the Gunners could still miss out on the striker to Atletico Madrid, but at the moment Liverpool are nowhere near the chase.

Fans believe this would be an opportunity missed and have been expressing their frustration on social media at Arsenal's reported move for the striker...
